Topps is one of the progenitors of football card collection since it came up with the idea to include sports card inside candy and gum packets. Up to this day, kids and adults alike are still hooked on this long standing hobby and are looking forward to opening every Topps packaging in the hopes of finding their favorites inside. The 2006 Topps football cards are some of the best ones yet since they have all the greats such as Reggie Bush, Jay Cutler, Vince Young, Ferguson, Maurice James-Drew, and Brandon Marshall.
Topps football cards in general have been a staple for sports collectible fanatics and some of the rarest ones have been made available online very recently. You can still find some of the greats online but you will have to fight tooth and nail for them because there are very few left and the prices are not exactly pocket friendly. Auction sites typically have devoted sections for sports cards and other sports memorabilia and these are where you can try your luck to complete your collection.
If you can find perfect condition Topps football cards from the 70s or even from the 80s, you are an extremely lucky fellow. Most collectors will not even consider selling any item they have that is at least 20 years old, or at least if not priced exorbitantly. You can peruse the Internet for the rare Topps football cards but you will have a hard time with the rare ones. Bidding will surely be a challenge especially since sellers will not give up their priced collection without costing the buyers an arm and a leg, perhaps a spleen too. The rookie cards and special editions are extremely hard to find so you really have to take a lot of time looking for them.
